Matter of time until England win trophy – Bellamy

In a recent interview, former English footballer Craig Bellamy expressed his confidence that it is just a matter of time until England wins a major trophy.

Bellamy, who earned 78 caps for the national team during his playing career, believes that the current crop of players possess the talent and determination to bring home silverware.

“I have faith in this team. They have shown great progress in recent years and have come close to winning trophies in major tournaments,” Bellamy said.

England’s last major tournament victory was in the 1966 World Cup, but Bellamy is optimistic that the wait will soon be over.

“With the likes of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Jadon Sancho leading the way, I think England has a real chance of winning the Euros or World Cup in the near future,” Bellamy added.

The Three Lions reached the final of the 2018 World Cup, only to be defeated by France. However, Bellamy sees that as a sign of the team’s potential.

“That run to the final in Russia showed that this team has what it takes to compete with the best,” Bellamy stated.

Despite recent disappointments in major tournaments, Bellamy believes that England is on the right path and is confident that success is on the horizon.

“It’s just a matter of time until we see England lift a trophy. The talent and passion are there, now it’s about putting it all together on the big stage,” Bellamy concluded.
